Deployment & Functional Exploration

Preliminary sketches explored various functional capabilities to optimize the trailer’s operational efficiency. Ideation focused on the mechanics of site setup testing deployable awnings, accessibility hatches, and weatherproofing strategies to ensure all core logistics

Technical Design & CAD Engineering

Following design finalization, the project was fully engineered within SOLIDWORKS to prepare for manufacturing. The digital assembly allowed for rigorous interference testing, structural stress analysis, and the generation of production ready cut lists, ensuring an efficient and highly accurate fabrication process.

1:1 Spatial Mockup

A true-to-scale physical prototype was built to evaluate the exhibition’s real world ergonomics and proportions. Constructing this full scale layout served as a critical phase for verifying the accessibility and functional capabilities of the design, ensuring that logistics and stage transitions met strict usability standards before final production.

Fabrication Process

Fabrication

Translating the finalized digital model into physical form required a hands-on fabrication strategy. A welded steel structural subframe provided the baseline foundation, skinned with durable exterior Dibond paneling and targeted tread decking across primary foot-traffic paths. Critical moving linkages and kinematic components were bench-tested and calibrated during final assembly.

Final Deliverable

With final structural assembly complete, graphic wraps applied, and operational validation secured, the fully integrated mobile unit was delivered to the client. Engineered for immediate road readiness, the design enables frictionless, repeat deployments with minimal setup friction across intensive event schedules
